Flood Relief Plan

Our plan to help the Southbury Community!

Dear Friends,

Many of you have reached out to see how you can support our neighbors after the devastating flood in Southbury this past weekend. We have been in contact with the Red Cross and Social Services of Southbury to see how we can best be of assistance in the aftermath of the destruction. Property damage and the needs of residents are still being assessed. The Southbury Needy Fund has always been available in emergency situations to assist with things such as: temporary housing, appliance replacement, car repairs, providing clothing, bedding, toiletries, and other necessities, and similar things. We anticipate that several Southbury families already struggling financially will be reaching out for assistance when they find that these necessities will not be covered, or fully covered, by insurance. As these needs are brought to us, we plan to step in.

Members of our generous community have already started organizing food drives and gift card collections. These will definitely help in the immediate future. The SNF would like to help provide more long-term assistance in ways such as those mentioned above.

If you would like to help support this mission, please click on the secure link below to donate or mail us a check (SNF, PO Box 72, Southbury, CT 06488). As always, we appreciate your continued generosity and support.
